House of David Bible Study
Thursdays | 11 AM or 7 PM | Connection Room 1
House of David is a series about the biblical King David of Israel. Very similar in tone and style to The Chosen series, it offers a representation of the movement of God through this important hero of scripture.
Each week we'll watch episodes and study the associated scripture passages as we explore what they teach us about our contemporary faith walk.
United Women in Faith
Wednesday, August 13 | 12:30 PM
Please note the change in day for this month’s meeting.
We’ll be finalizing plans for our Fall Rummage Sale - coming up on September 20. Now’s a great time to start setting aside items to donate. After our meeting, we’ll be sponsoring and preparing a meal for Feeding Hope. May God lead you to join this group of faithful women.
Feeding Hope

Our next meal will be cooked, packed and served by the United Women in Faith. So excited for them to serve with Feeding Hope.
We are looking for donations of penne pasta, pasta sauce, ground beef, vegetable oil, sandwich bags, and plastic forks and spoons (only). Please bring donations by Sunday, August 10.
Help Fuel the Fun of VBS - Donate Snacks!
We’re just a week away from an unforgettable week of Vacation Bible School at PCUMC, and we need your help to keep our campers (and volunteers!) energized and smiling!
Can you add a few items to your shopping list this week? Every donation makes a big impact.
We’re collecting snacks, drinks, and more - see the full list and sign up here: https://signup.com/go/kspeXzF
Thank you for supporting this ministry!
Soccer Ball Ministry
Collecting through August
Soccer balls? Yes! Clara’s Closet in Buffalo is requesting new or used soccer balls (in good condition) for the children they serve. Clara’s Closet is a large ministry housed in the Central Park United Methodist Church and primarily serves the immigrant community, as well as others in need. The soccer balls will provide much-needed recreation and occupation for these children. If you would like to donate, there is a collection box in Mission Central. Thank you!

Backpacks for Students
As our summer winds down, we are mindful that the start of the school year is approaching soon. We want to provide backpacks with some traditional supplies for those who might struggle to afford all that our returning students need. If you would like to help with supplies such as pencils, pens, highlighters, packs of paper, notebooks, folders, erasers, and crayons, we would greatly appreciate it!
If you or someone you know could benefit from receiving a backpack, please let us know!
We are also looking for folks who might be interested in helping us sort and pack the backpacks.
Contact DJ Mahar for more details.
Back-to-School Clothing Collection
Supporting the Martha Mitchell Community Center
We’re once again collecting back-to-school clothing for our friends at the Martha Mitchell Community Center in Buffalo. The collection kicks off during VBS (August 4–8), and we’ll be collecting through the end of August. We’re accepting clothing for all school-aged kids (Don’t forget the teens, so adult sizes are good too, but age appropriate). Shoes, coats, and boots are also accepted - new or gently used.
Please place items in Mission Central. Donations will be delivered and distributed in early September.
