2020… What a Year!
2020… what a year! How would we even describe it? It is something that many of us looked forward to, and yet it didn’t turn out like anything we had dreamed of or hoped for. 2020 will go down in history as a time of stress, pain, frustration, and fear.
Even so, throughout all of the turmoil, God was there. God was there, God is here, and God will be there with us in the future. God is with us always. Yes, 2020 was a difficult year, but God was there, offering us comfort, peace, and strength in His presence.
If we look closely, 2020 also blessed us in spite of the circumstances. God’s imagination soared in the hearts of God’s people, ministering in new and different ways. People were being drawn closer to God, seeking meaning and hope.
As we move into 2021, with some challenges of 2020 still remaining and with likely its own set of challenges, we stand together as the children of God, strong in the Lord.
As we boldly face 2021, we trust that God will continue to guide us and carry us. As we continue to be in the presence of the Lord, we will be filled with the peace that passes understanding, down in the bottom of our hearts. And we are thankful - for our God who loves us and is with us always.
