House of David Bible Study

Thursdays | 11 AM or 7 PM | Connection Room 1

House of David is a series about the biblical King David of Israel. Very similar in tone and style to The Chosen series, it offers a representation of the movement of God through this important hero of scripture.

Each week we'll watch episodes and study the associated scripture passages as we explore what they teach us about our contemporary faith walk.

United Women in Faith

Wednesday, August 13 | 12:30 PM

Our August meeting is one week later than our usual schedule due to VBS taking place the week before, and many of us will be helping with that. We’ll be planning for our Fall Rummage Sale. If you'd like to join this faithful group of women, we'd love to have you!

Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive of WNY

Help spread hope—one sandwich at a time!

We’re continuing to collect donations for the Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive, a simple but powerful way to fight hunger in our area. Peanut butter and jelly are shelf-stable, kid-friendly, and packed with protein - perfect for families in need. You can place your donations in the blue bin located in the Fellowship Hall. The donated jars are redistributed to about 30 food pantries in WNY. Every jar makes a difference!

Soccer Ball Ministry

Collecting through August

Soccer balls? Yes! Clara’s Closet in Buffalo is requesting new or used soccer balls (in good condition) for the children they serve. Clara’s Closet is a large ministry housed in the Central Park United Methodist Church and primarily serves the immigrant community, as well as others in need. The soccer balls will provide much-needed recreation and occupation for these children. If you would like to donate, there is a collection box in Mission Central. Thank you!

Thursday Night Dinners in the Summer!

Thursdays, 5:00 PM, First UMC, 8210 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls

Isn’t it wonderful that the warmer weather has finally arrived! We always need the usual supplies: yellow and chocolate cake mixes, brownie mixes, elbow pasta, mayonnaise, eggs, boneless chicken (breast or thighs), and ground beef. If you’re able to get some of these things, we would greatly appreciate it! If it’s easier, please consider making a financial donation to help us out!

We are also calling on all you gardeners out there to consider the Thursday Night Dinner if you have any fruits or vegetables that we could use in our meals. If you find yourself with too many zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, or anything else that you think we could use, let’s make sure nothing goes to waste!

We are also always inviting everyone to join us in the kitchen to help cook, serve, or help clean up any Thursday, or come on out for a meal!
